P-Square, consisting of Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye, was a Nigerian music duo born on November 18, 1981, in Jos, Nigeria. They gained prominence in the early 2000s and became known for their energetic performances and versatility in various music genres.
Raised in a music-oriented family, the brothers began their musical journey in school, forming a group called “Smooth Criminals” before adopting the name P-Square. Their breakthrough came with the album “Last Nite” in 2003, but it was the 2005 release of “Get Squared” that truly catapulted them to continental fame.
P-Square’s music was a fusion of R&B, hip hop, and traditional Nigerian sounds, earning them a broad fan base across Africa and beyond. Some of their popular tracks include “Do Me,” “No One Like You,” and “Chop My Money.”
